| 内容記述 | In this paper, the author describes about the results of the experiments to sound ropes in the water on various conditions. It was found, conclusively, that the calculations through Strouhal’s number 0.2 are right only in the case of ropes stretched, and that the one through S-number 0.125 are more suitable for the explanation of experimental results in the case of ropes unstrung. It must be recognized that, in any case, the sounds which are caused by unstrung ropes in the water are very low unexpectedly, and that even such low frequency sounds as the under-water ones by ropes may be an important factor for fish behavior. | |||||
