内容記述 | The aim of this study is to describe rightly and concisely the relationship between growth of stemvolume and increment of crown-volume in case of the individual tree belonging to evenaged Sugi (Cryptomeria japonica)-stand. The crown-form is expressed by parabolic shape. y=α・x^<0.5> wherey : radius of crown (m) x : distance from crown-top (m) α : expanding coefficient of crown-radius The increment of crown-volume is expressed by the following equation (Fig.1). ΔCV=π/2・Cl_2・ Cr_2^2+π/3・(k_2-k_1)・(Cr_2^2+Cr_2・Cr_1+Cr_1^2)-π/2・Cl_1・Cr_1^2 where ΔCV : increment of crown-volume (m^3) Cl : crown-length (m) Cr : radius of crown (m) k : height to living branch (m) ^* subscripts 1 and 2 denote the measurement points, respectively. The growth of stem-volume is calculated by using the stem-volume equation with dbh and tree height data, in two measurement points. The linear relation between growth of stem-volume and increment of crown-volume in Cryptomeria japonica-stand is recognized on each crown-length class. Investigation of the relationship between growth of stem-volume and increment of crown-volume has brought us such an equation as in the following : ΔV=-0.0241+0.0020・ΔCV+0.0087・Cl coefficient of determination R^2=0.80 standard error Se=0.009 (m^3) where ΔV : grouth of stem-volume (m^3) ΔCV : increment of crown-volume (m^3) Cl : crown-length (m) It is expected that growth of stem-volume is in right proportion to increment of crown-volume and to crown-length, respectively. Based on the above mentioned items, it is hoped that we shall be able to describe the growth of individual tree in evenaged Sugi-stand. | |||||
