| 内容記述 | Makizono geyserite is mostly composed of amorphous silica and included with very small amount of hematite. For removal of iron oxide in the geyserite, powder samples were heated in electric furnace at 400~ 900℃ and then attacked by Cl_2 gas. Removal percent of iron oxide was increased with heating temperature up to 800℃, but over this temperature was decreased. The samples treated of Cl_2 gas at various elevated temparature were conducted on X-ray powder diffraction test. It was found that the redult of X-ray test coincided with amorphous silica of original sample. |
