Thermal environments of two RC (reinforced concrete) houses and a traditional wooden house in Okierabu island (27°26'N, 128°42'E) and those of three wooden houses having different roof insulation in Amami island (28°23'N, 129°30'E) have been researched. It was certified that the suitable house in this warm and humid region must be developed in consideration of insulation, sun-shading, cross ventilation and night ventilation when the openings are closed. |
