近年重要な課題となっている健康格差解消に向け、先駆的な実践・研究について造詣を深めるために、看護学専攻の家族看護論履修生（学部３年生）６名と保健学研究科の基礎看護・地域看護学特別研究履修生１名がボストンへ臨地研究に赴いた。平成28年7月～8月に週1回、英語で事前学習を行った後、9月3日（土）から10日（土）まで臨地研修に出向いた。視察施設は、トリニティ教会、ボストン小児病院、ボストンカレッジ、ハーバード大学、ハーバード公衆衛生大学院であり、フィールドワークによる人々の生活の視察も行った。各施設では、健康格差是正に向けた民間レベルでの草の根的な活動、看護職としての自立した活動の教育プログラム、世界レベルの研究的な取り組みを学んだ。フィールドワークでは、今なお残る人種差別を垣間見た。研修を踏まえ、学部生は健康格差への看護職の自律した活動の重要さを学び、大学院生は自己の実践を振り返り研究的に取り組む重要性を再確認した。 |

To learn trailblazing work about improvement of health disparities which has been crucial issues around the world, we conducted overseas training in Boston. Attendees were six undergraduate students of Family Nursing class and one master student of Advanced Research in Fundamental Nursing and Community Health Nursing. Weekly preparations for overseas training were conducted in English from July until August, after that, we visited Boston from September 3rd to 10th 2016 The institutions of training trip were Trinity church, Boston Children's Hospital, Boston College, Harvard University and Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health. We also observed lifestyles of people by field works. Students learned about grass-roots activities by private section, the educational programs for autonomous nursing, and global researches for improving health disparities. Also, we caught a glimpse of racial discriminations. The undergraduate students learned the importance of autonomy in nursing to decrease health disparities. The master student reconfirmed the gravities of clarifying the implicit nursing skills. |
