| 内容記述 | The purpose of this paper is to consider the current state of and ongoing challenges for the employment support of the deaf and hard of hearing by an Employment and Life Support Center (ELSC). The results of the interview survey of the support staff of an ELSC in Kagoshima prefecture suggest that three out of the five centers support the deaf and hard of hearing through sign language. Two types of concrete support are identified: ① assistance from support staff who are able to communicate in sign language, and ② cooperation with staff by an administrative body who is able to communicate in sign language. By providing the first type of support, the ELSC have especially built a relationship of trust with the deaf and hard of hearing who receive support there. This has led to the continuous employment of the deaf and hard of hearing. On the other hand, it was determined that the sign language interpreter dispatching system based on the Comprehensive Support for Persons with Disabilities Act is difficult for an ELSC. Further, with this challenge as a background, they have a strong need to reduce the burden of the sign language interpreter dispatching fee. |

| 内容記述 | 本研究では，障害者就業・生活支援センターにおける聴覚障害者支援の現状と課題を考察することを目的とした． インタビューにより鹿児島県の障害者就業・生活支援センターの聴覚障害者支援の取り組みを調査した結果，同県内の5 カ所の障害者就業・生活支援センターのうち， 3 カ所で手話によるコミュニケーションを通して聴覚障害者支援を行っていることが把握された．その具体的な方法としては，①手話が可能な支援員の独自配置による対応，②支援センター周辺の行政機関に配置されている手話が可能な職員との連携による対応，の2 つのタイプが認められた．特に①のタイプによる支援を行っている支援センターでは聴覚障害者との信頼関係が築かれており，彼らの就労継続に繋がっていた． その一方で，障害者総合支援法に基づく自治体による手話通訳者等の派遣制度が就労支援の場面で活用しにくくなっているという課題があることなどを背景として，手話通訳者の手配等に関する支援センターのコスト負担軽減に対するニーズが大きいことが示された． |
