In order to make the heat transfer mechanism clear in separated flows, the deformation of the separated shear layer, the velocity distribution in the dead water region, and the pressure distribution around a cylinder were measured. This cylinder has been used as a typical example of bluff bodies. Using those experimental results, the individual factors concerned and their influences were investigated. These results will be useful to clarify the heat transfer mechanism. |
