| 内容記述 | In order to evaluate habitat use in urban areas by the Pale Thrush, we regularly captured the birds with mist nets and banded their legs with metal or color rings in the botanical garden on the Korimoto campus of Kagoshima University from October 2007 to May 2008 and from October 2008 to April 2009. The Pale Thrush was captured 118 and 58 individuals in total from October 2007 to May 2008 and from October 2008 to April 2009, respectively. Among them, 30 individuals were recaptured several times in one season in the garden. The length of time from their first release to final recapture ranged from 7 to 161 days. Of two juvenile female thrushes released on 7 February 2008, one was recaptured on 18 March 2009 and the other was on 18 April 2009 in the garden. These results suggest that the Pale Thrush stay not only for a short period but also for a long period in the garden, and some of them come back to winter in the garden in two or more winter seasons. | |||||

| 内容記述 | シロハラによる都市緑地の利用状況を明らかにするために, 2007年10月～2008年５月, および, 2008年10月～2009年４月の越冬期に鹿児島大学植物園において定期的にかすみ網によりシロハラを捕獲して個体識別を施し, 生息状況を調査した｡2007年10月～2008年５月にかけて合計118個体, 2008年10月～2009年４月にかけて合計58個体のシロハラが捕獲された｡それらのうち, 30個体は一シーズン中に数回再捕獲され, 各個体の再捕獲に要した期間は最も長くて７～161日間であった｡また, 2008年２月７日に放鳥した２個体の雌の幼鳥のうち, １個体が2009年３月18日に,もう１個体が2009年４月18日にそれぞれ雌の成鳥として植物園内で再捕獲された｡これらのことから, シロハラは植物園を一時的な滞在場所としてだけでなく複数年にわたり越冬場所としても利用していると言える｡ | |||||
